Why does flirting have to be the center of girls AND boys (you may not believe me-- but it's true) lives???? It bothers me... A LOT. I am not one of those girls who despises flirting because no one ever flirts with me or because I do not flirt with them but there is a time and a place. So this puzzled me today as I was observing the student population, so I asked the flirt doctor. (that's right, there is a degree in such an awkward situation of mankind.)
Q: When is it ok to flirt?
A: In public places with friends and class mates. i.e: lunch, in between classes, etc...
Q: When is it NOT ok to flirt?
A: In class, or, let's just say in the rehearsal of your school musical.
Q: Why can't you flirt in rehearsal?
A: Because it's DANG ANNOYING! and keep in mind our drama teacher is not married and don't you ever feel bad for him? he is so sweet and kind, he has our best intentions in mind-(wow i just rhymed!) and all you care about is your dance partner who in fact does not even catch on to your flirtations. I'm sure the only running through his mind is, "What should I have for dinner?" (Because isn't that all they do? Eat? With their stupid metabolisms that are so fast- that keep them skinny twigs?-- You know, how come they get the metabolisms when they don't even care...... geese louise.)
Quickly, do you want to know what else bothers me???? When girls flirt seriously with tons of people. Guys aren't that stupid. They're bound to catch on. It must make them feel bad. But maybe, and just maybe, I'm taking things too far. Perhaps they don't catch on. Well since I am a girl I can only presume for the rest of my life. But ladies (and gentlemen- why not?), may I remind you of the golden rule: Treat others how you would like to be treated.
Wow. After that rampage, I do feel much better, it's like all I really wanted to say was the golden rule! Maybe if I say it more, I will feel weightless!
Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Well I am not completely 'healed' so you might say of my 'burdens' so you might say, but it's kind of like voting. Though your vote may not change the outcome of the elections, you will have done it. Ladies and gentlemen, I have told you (which has served as a reminder to myself as well) to Treat others how you would like to be treated at least fifteen times which has got to count for something.
May serendipity find you soon. (good fortune; luck)
